Position Summary
Tri County Air is seeking an experienced Plumbing Manager with proven experience and leadership ability to build our plumbing department from the ground up. You will be the foundation of the division and play a key role in shaping its culture, systems, and future team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to lead, mentor, and build, takes pride in doing what is right even when no one is watching, and wants long-term growth. The Plumbing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Plumbing Team while working in the field. This is a hands-on role for a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills who excels in managing a team, ensuring high-quality installations, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Lead, train, and support plumbing technicians in the field.
  • Perform and oversee installations, repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Coordinate jobs, materials, and manpower to meet project timelines.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
  • Assist with estimating, job planning, and quality control.
  • Help establish pricing, service offerings, and best practices.
  • Create quality and safety standards aligned with company values.
  • Train and mentor new plumbing technicians as the department grows.
  • Serve customers with professionalism, care, and integrity.
  • Safety: Plays a crucial role in preventing workplace injuries by following safety guidelines, using equipment correctly. Reports any unsafe conditions or actions to management immediately.
 
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Experience/Knowledge: 
    • Minimal 5 years of hands-on plumbing experience.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of all plumbing concepts, including residential and commercial systems.
    • Proven experience leading and supervising plumbing teams.
    • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to technicians and customers in a clear and approachable way.
    • Must be goal oriented and self-motivated.
    • Ability to build a positive working relationship with our customers and coworkers.
    • Must have a genuine empathy for customers / coworkers and a willingness to help others.
    • Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical labor (bending, crouching, and climbing).
    • Valid Florida driver’s license and a clean driving record with a minimum of 3 years driving history; required licenses/certifications per state and local regulations.
    • Knowledge of Service Titan preferred.
  • Skills: 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
    • Proactive and able to work independently.
    • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Typical work hours are Monday to Friday with flexibility needed when required for meetings, training, etc. On call is required.

    • Varying work conditions exist with this position: Uncontrolled environments include Highways/Roadways used with company vehicles, Personal and Business Property owned by customers including various and intrinsic hazards, exposure to Weather Conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, rain, lightening and winds.  Controlled Environments include the TCA Shops/Offices/Warehouses, which are maintained in a safe manner.
