  • Location
    • TBD - Any Habitat for Humanity job site around Charlotte County.
    • We currently have 11 active jobsites, in various stages of construction, around Charlotte County.
  • Tasks
    • At a Habitat for Humanity construction site, volunteers have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and be part of something truly life-changing. Whether it’s swinging a hammer, painting walls, or simply helping keep the site organized, every task contributes directly to a family’s future home. No prior construction experience is required, our team provides all the training and guidance needed. Beyond the work itself, volunteers gain hands-on skills, build new friendships, and experience the joy of seeing a house transform step by step into a safe, affordable home for a local family.
    • See attached Stages of Construction Volunteer Opportunities.

    • EVERYONE must complete a Volunteer Application -  https://charlottecountyhfh.charityproud.org/WebForm/Index/3506?formCode=68fa4a37-1164-4f35-9eac-03afecda166a
    • ALL volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.  Anyone aged 16 or 17 must have their parent or guardian sign the Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability and submit the original to Habitat - https://charlottecountyhfh.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/Volunteer-Release-and-Waiver-of-Liability.pdf (please send to caitlin@cdbia.com)
    • All of the * fields are required.
    • 911 is not an emergency contact – we really want each volunteer to give us the name and information of their emergency contact.
    • Under Volunteer Information on the Volunteer Application your volunteers are not doing their hours for anyone – this field is for our future homeowners only - your volunteers will select CDBIA NEXTGEN from the Company dropdown selection.
    • Reminder – these are active jobsites.  During breaks and lunch, there aren’t chairs or sometimes even shade to sit in.  If you would like to suggest to your volunteers that they bring camp chairs or if you have tables or tents you would like to bring, perfect!  We can totally work with that.  We want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
    • Future Homeowners – our future homeowners love working alongside our volunteers and make every effort to be present on the days we have large groups.  We will say our prayers that each of our future homeowners are able to take a day off of work to join you.
