Charlotte DeSoto Building Industry Association Announces Its National Award-Winning “Show Me the License” Home Building & Remodeling Show

The Charlotte DeSoto Building Industry Association (CDBIA) is proud to present the inaugural “Show Me the License” Home Building & Remodeling Show, taking place on Friday and Saturday, September 25th & 26th, 2026, at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds.


This two-day event is designed to connect the community with trusted, licensed contractors, builders, and industry professionals in Charlotte and DeSoto counties. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore services, products, and expert guidance to ensure they hire qualified professionals for their construction and renovation needs.

Highlights of the event include:

• Meet Florida licensed contractors and building industry companies to help you with your home projects.

• Live Demonstrations showcasing building and remodeling techniques.

• Educational Sessions led by industry leaders on how to hire and verify licensed contractors.

• Hourly Prizes for attendees throughout the day.

• High School Student Construction BUILD Challenge, spotlighting the next generation of skilled trades.

• Touch a Truck event to showcase the incredible heavy-duty machinery used in the building industry.

• Food trucks and fun for the whole family will be available
